Template - start referral process during Fact Find

Use this template to introduce a complimentary insurance review during the Fact Find process and then discuss it in more detail at settlement.

As you’re going through the Fact Find and covering assets, liabilities, income, insurances etc, when you get to the existing insurance cover part, take a moment to pause and slow down and say:
​
“Do you have any existing life or other personal insurances?”
If they say yes:
​
“It’s important to review them because you’re increasing the amount of debt you will have. We will organise for your existing policies to be reviewed.
​
While this is important and we’ll come back to your insurances later, let’s focus on getting your loan through first….”
If they say no, you can say:
“Insurance is important because you’re increasing the amount of debt you will have. We will organise a review of your insurance needs.
While this is important and we’ll come back to your insurances later, let’s focus on getting your loan through first….”
At settlement, use the email or phone template to reintroduce an insurance review and proceed with referring to us.
